The Cowboy (1908) Remington immortalized an original American type in his only heroic bronze, “The Cowboy”. Frederic Remington’s c1908 life-sized bronze statue of a cowboy on a horse on the edge of a cliff. It was commissioned by Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park Art Association, after the artist was declared “a national treasure” it was the only outdoor public work Remington ever produced. Remington had insisted on its location, which adds meaning to seeing it in person. This exquisite hand crafted sculpture is cast in the purest American bronze and is available in 5 sizes including monumental, call for prices. All castings bear Remington’s signature on the bronze.
