Cowboy is Frederic Remington’s c1908 heroic bronze statue of a cowboy on a horse on the edge of a cliff. It Is the only outdoor public work Remington ever produced. Remington had insisted on its location, which adds meaning to seeing it in person (see photo). Cast in the traditional “Lost wax casting process”, this statue is reproduced in pure bronze by the superior lost wax process, finished in a dark brown patina and then hand-rubbed to bring out detail and highlights.
