Eve, Finest US Lost Wax Bronze Sculpture Statue Signed Rodin
$895.00
By Auguste Rodin (1840-1917)
This bust is just one of Rodin’s many interpretations of Eve. The figure of Eve was the first life-size female figure Rodin modeled, after his ‘Bacchante’ had been destroyed by accident. In Rodin’s work, ‘Eve’ does not appear as the originator of human sin, as a representation of evil; rather she represents the frailty of the human condition, exposed to threats and seduction. Dimensions: 14″H x10″L. Available in dark brown or verdigris.

This statue is reproduced in the finest American bronze by the superior lost wax process, finished in multi-color patinas and then hand-rubbed to bring out the awesome detail and highlights. The statue is then mounted on a fine black or green marble base with an etched brass plate bearing the name of the bronze and the artist.
