Les Amants, (Boy) Classic Lost Wax Bronze Sculpture by A. Moreau

The name of the Les Amants Sculpture by Auguste Moreau is a little misleading because it means “the lovers” when translated from French. There is a solitary figure dressed in loose peasant style clothing next to an ancient column. The piece is woven with vines as if it has been suspended in time for many years. This is a sullen piece that makes you wonder where the other lover has gone.Whether you buy one for a decoration by itself or buy both, they will be a great addition anywhere you place them. A girl version is also available.

This handcrafted bronze sculpture is cast in the finest American bronze using the superior lost wax method, finished in a multi-color patina and mounted on a black marble base with an etched brass plate that bears the name of the statue and the artist. Marble base on most statues is optional but included, please let us know if you don’t want your statue mounted on a marble base.

Color Choices – The standard way we usually cast and finish many of our sculptures is with what we refer to as multi-color patina. However, we can also finish the entire sculpture in classic statuary green (verdigris) or brown for a more traditional look. Both patinas are very nice and weather the same. Color selection is more a matter of customer preference.
