His second wife, Fanny, as well as the city of Paris, which was the uncontested international center of beauty and art, were his inspiration for much of his work. During his forty years artistic career, Icart delighted lovers of Art Deco, a fashion directed almost exclusively towards women on both sides of the Atlantic.
